Frank Gay - Broker
Frank Gay has been a Global Real Estate Executive for over two decades, working across multiple facets in the real estate industry. Most recently, prior to joining JP and Associates REALTORS®, Frank held the position of National Vice President of Sales for the largest Global Franchisor within the Real Estate Space. In this role, Frank identified and successfully negotiated mergers & acquisitions, as well as unaffiliated conversion opportunities, with some of the largest companies in the country. For over six and a half years, he was responsible for several of the largest affiliations within the network. Prior to his most recent position, he worked for then publicly traded real estate tech giant ZIP Realty, where he held multiple leadership roles and carried out many critical initiatives company-wide.
Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, Frank always watched his Father, a Hotelier and Real Estate Investor, navigate through the tricky world of buying and selling properties while growing up. Years later when Frank was in his early 20’s, his family relocated to Central Florida to open a vacation rental property management company and that’s where Frank’s real estate story begins. For the next 5 years, Frank learned the ins and out of the Family Business and grew the company 5X within the first 2 years. In 1998 after building many relationships with investor owners from property management, Frank took a successful dive into Real Estate Sales where he quickly became a top selling agent, closing more than 50 transactions in his first year and 120 in his second. During this time, more than 50% of Frank’s sales were with Foreign National Sellers and Buyers. Frank quickly started getting recognized for his international expertise and was sought after to present at real estate expos throughout Europe, targeting investors for second home purchases within the US. In late 1999, Frank opened Marketing Company in the Netherlands with a Dutch Partner to drive New Home Sales to Central Florida. This was the early foundation for what became a proven marketing concept for several future endeavors, expanding Frank’s reach to other European Countries over the next several years.
From 2001 until 2008, before joining ZIP Realty, Frank was the Broker/Owner of a highly productive Regional franchise with four offices in Central Florida, specializing in residential, commercial, property management, vacant land and new home sales. In just 2 years after opening, his thriving company obtained #1 market share in sales volume & transactions and maintained that position in their market for years to come. During these years, Frank lectured domestically and internationally for Regions to their Franchisees on how to effectively recruit agents and retain their associates long-term. To this day, Frank’s passion continues to be guiding Real Estate Brokers to new heights by helping them increase their productivity, grow their market share and ultimately build a valuable asset that can be sold!
A true rocker at heart, Frank spent his early years in high school and college playing the guitar and touring the country with his band. He started taking lessons when he was only 4 and though he doesn’t get to play as often as he would like, he has passed his love for the instrument on to his two sons, who both play regularly. In Frank’s world of frequent travel, he cherishes his family time. When at home in Central Florida, Frank can be found with his family dining around locally, at Cocoa Beach enjoying the Beach or hiking trails with his dogs, Winston and Rebel.
